Call of Duty games have become repetitious over the years, which does offer gamers a consistent experience, but one which has perhaps grown a little stale, as detractors are always eager to point out. With Black Ops 2, Treyarch is looking to please fans by offering a new, more original experience. One way in which the game will engage players is by offering am ore tactical game to play with the Strike Force missions. We’ve been given a number of glimpses of Strike Force campaigns, and what’s impressive about them is that they engage the player in multiple ways.
With Strike Force, you not only can change the way the storyline unfolds, but you can also engage in a complex tactical adventure. You are allowed to control all of the units on the battlefield in order to accomplish a goal—since there are literally endless choices you can make about which units to control and when, there is no limit to the variation in how the mission can unfold. This helps to remove us from the feeling that we’re going along a ride on tracks and cannot get off the tracks, another complaint which many gamers have made about past COD games. In this way Strike Force missions will make the games much more adaptive and exciting!
