With the release of the multiplayer reveal trailer for Black Ops 2, you could only expect plenty of rumors to drop. The latest come from an unverified insider source which spoke to DualShockers.com. We still don’t know how much of this is true and how much is just hearsay, so we’ll keep it short and sweet and you can decide for yourself what to believe. If we get any confirmation on these rumors, we’ll let you know right away.
Locations rumored to be involved in the game include Afghanistan, Angola, Panama, Haiti, Pakistan, Al Jinan, a U.S.S. Barack Obama, Singapore, Yemen, Nicaragua, Myanmar and Los Angeles (a couple of these are already confirmed). Apparently weapons will include an Assault Shield, SCAR Assault Rifle, Vector K10 SMG, Ballistic Knife, AS-50 Sniper Rifle, MP7, Storm PSR, SMAW, Five-Seven, Barreta Burst Pistol, RPG, Stinger Missle and some kind of crossbow. Rumored multiplayer levels include Cargo/Dockside, Aftermath (Los Angeles), Hijacked (on a yacht), Slums (Panama), Drone, Power Plant (Pakistan), Nightclub (Al Jinan), Overflow (Pakistan), Carrier, Turbine (Yemen) and Yemen (Yemen suburbs).
One of the most exciting rumors is that you’ll not only be facing off against zombies, but you could turn into one yourself. If you get infected, you then can play as a zombie using zombie class abilities. This has been one of the most requested features of Black Ops 2—whether it’s just a hopeful rumor or it’s for real we don’t know yet.
