Ever since that LinkedIn resume dropped that an employee had been tested Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on The Nintendo Wii U since May, fans all over the world have been going crazy. While this is not an official confirmation that Call of Duty is coming to the Wii U, it seems like pretty solid evidence to back up rumors that have been around for quite some time. Black Ops 2 was featured in Nintendo magazine, after all, and the article did imply that the Wii U version would be able to provide additional support for the touch screen controller, which would add a new dimension to the game. We don’t think that Nintendo and Activision will be able to stay quiet about this for much longer since the chatter has become basically ceaseless.
With Assassin’s Creed 3 already in their lineup, if Black Ops 2 joins the list, the Wii U launch is going to be huge. Since Nintendo has fallen behind for quite a while in the console war, it seems like this is an inevitable move to make if the company wants to get many of the gamers who are still undecided about the purchase to invest in their next generation console. Now we need only await the official confirmation.
